Acid Wash is a six-piece band from Burlington, Vermont, carrying on the jam tradition the town is known for while finding a sound all its own. Tyler Nathan (guitar, vocals), Gabe Frankel (guitar, vocals), Quinn Federle (keys), Jake Dittus (bass), Seamus Ward (drums), and Sammy Yohe (vocals) met as students at the University of Vermont. What started as late-night jams in the dorms turned into a band built on friendship and a love for the Grateful Dead, Talking Heads, and everything in between.
In a little under two years, Acid Wash has played dozens of shows, grown to over 5,000 followers, been recognized by Seven Days as one of the best jam bands in Vermont, and been featured on WCAX News. The band also played Mojo Fest on the Burlington waterfront in front of 3,500 people, and is proud to be part of the same scene that produced Grace Potter, Twiddle, and Phish.
Now in their final year at UVM, Acid Wash just released their first single, Embrace, with Walk It Back coming out soon. On the live side, they recently opened for Cotter & Friends at Stowe Cider and played their first Higher Ground show opening for The Band Memo, with plenty more dates to come. The band is thankful for everyone who’s shown up along the way and excited for what’s ahead!
